In early 2025, Workington Swimming Club lost one of our most promising swimmers and one of our poolside supporters: Roick Curtis and Sarah Glencross. We wanted a way to remember Roick and Sarah.
In November 2024 we extended our distance club champs events to other Cumbrian clubs and this proved very popular. Following on from this, we have decided to make this an annual event and have named the meet the ‘Curtis-Glencross Distance Meet‘ as a way to remember our friends.

We can now confirm that the gala will take place over 2 mornings on the 15 and 16 November 2025.
WARM UP will start at 8am for the first events and we will then build in additional warmups for the next events as we progress though the meet.
