Club Aim

The clubs aim is to promote the abilities of any swimmer to a competitive level.

Joining The Club

If you would like to join the club you can come along on a Monday at 7pm for 11+ year olds or Friday night at 6:30pm (10yrs & under) for a trial session, please arrive 15minutes earlier so your on poolside for the required time.

Your swimmer will then be assessed and put into a suitable squad based on their abilities as viewed by the coach. Once this is done you will be able to understand the monthly fee that would apply for the sessions available to your swimmer, we also require a yearly payment for the SwimEngland (formerly ASA) membership, which covers items like insurance and supporting services from the national governing body, this is either £17 or £33 (2018) depending on whether they are a competing swimmer or not, please speak to the WASC team for guidance.

All fees are paid by bank transfer into the club account via standing order, please ensure you put your swimmers name as a reference.

We do follow the ASA learn to swim pathway, but only take swimmers once able to swim without arm bands, for a swimmer below this standard we recommend the learn to swim course available with the leisure centre, which then allows for progression back into the club at the correct stage.

If you join the club you will need to complete the new swimmer documents <USE THIS LINK> and you will receive a link to complete the online SE (formerly ASA) membership registration and the relevant club documents.

All the documents can be downloaded and filled in then handed in at your next session or scanned and emailed to workingtonasc@outlook.com

as always any questions just speak to one of the team.
