In early 2025, Workington Swimming Club lost one of our most promising swimmers and one of our poolside supporters: Roick Curtis and Sarah Glencross. We wanted a way to remember Roick and Sarah.
In November 2024 we extended our distance club champs events to other Cumbrian clubs and this proved very popular. Following on from this, we have decided to make this an annual event and have named the meet the ‘Curtis-Glencross Distance Meet‘ as a way to remember our friends.

We can now confirm that the gala will take place over 2 mornings on the 21 and 22 November 2026.
WARM UP will start at 12noon for the first events and we will then build in additional warmups for the next events as we progress though the meet.
